Who Are You Following?
Ephraim means doubly fruitful.
But instead of multiplication, they were crushed.
Not because God failed…
But because they followed someone who wasn’t Him.
🌾 The Seed
“Ephraim is oppressed, crushed in judgment, because he was determined to follow man’s command.” — Hosea 5:11
Oppression isn’t always a satanic attack—
sometimes it’s the consequence of who we follow.
📖 The Word
Deuteronomy 28:33 says:
“A people whom you do not know shall eat up the produce of your ground… and you will be oppressed and crushed continually.”
Micah 6:16 says:
“The statutes of Omri and all the practices of Ahab’s house are observed… Therefore I will give you over to ruin.”
Following man means walking in their curses instead of God’s covenant.
🧠 The Shift
Neuroscience shows that our brains are wired for social conformity—
we imitate others to belong, even when we know it’s wrong.
This is called normative social influence—and it’s powerful.
But God’s Word is designed to renew our minds and break the cycle.

🛠 The Build
Ask yourself daily:
“Am I hearing from God or just echoing man?”
Then wait.
Listen.
And obey—because fruitfulness only follows the Father’s voice.
🔊 The Speak
“I hear and obey my Father’s voice.
A stranger’s voice I will not follow.
I will not trade my fruitfulness for man’s approval.”
